Built in 1975, by the Calumet Shipbuilding Company of Morgan City, Louisiana (hull #1) as the Miss Lily Peter for Helena Marine Service of Helena, Arkansas.
In 1983, the tug was leased by Janoush Towing Incorporated of Rosedale, Mississippi. Where she was renamed as the Monnie Speakes.
In 1989, she was acquired by the Warrior River Towing Company Incorporated of Mobile, Alabama. Where the tug was renamed as the Christopher D.
In 1992, the tug was acquired by Midland Enterprises Incorporated of Cincinnati, Ohio. Where she was renamed as the Warrior Star.
In 2002, the tug was acquired by Eckstein Marine Service of Jefferson, Louisiana. A division of the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Steve Richoux.
In 2007, she was transferred to the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.
Re powered in 2007, the tug is powered by two, Caterpillar 3508 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 7:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
