Built in 1970, by McDermott Shipyard of Morgan City, Louisiana (hull #164) as the Zeus for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California
She was the sixth Sea Swift class tug constructed by McDermott Shipyards for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated.
In 1976, the tug was acquried by the Seaspan Corporation of Hong Kong. Where she was renamed as the Seaspan Rouge.
In 1987, the tug was acquired by Tepuy Company of Edo Bolivar, Venezuela. Where she renamed as the Rio Grande T. Her current and or final disposition is unknown.
She was powered by two, sixteen cylinder, EMD 16-645-E-7 diesel engines. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch propellers. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch propellers. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 5,750 horsepower.
Her electrical service was provided by two, 90kW generator sets. The tug's capacities were 165,000 gallons of fuel.
The towing equipment consisted of a Markey TDSD-36, double-drum, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,200(ft) of 2.25(in) towing wire.
