Built in 1936, by the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin (hull #286) as the Manshipco for the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin

In 1980, the tug was acquired by the Luedtke Engineering Company of Frankfort, Michigan. Where she was renamed as the Chris E. Luedtke.

In 2022, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Frankfort, Michigan.

In 2023, the tug was acquired by Fogg Marine Enterprises of Ironton, Michigan, where she retained her name.

She was a single screw tug, rated at 200 horsepower.
