Built in 1978, by McDermott Shipyard Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana (hull #241) as the Robin XV for the Robin International Towing Company of Harvey, Louisiana.

In 1984, the tug sold and renamed as the Oregon.

In 1998, she was acquired by the South Puerto Rico Towing Company of Guayanilla, Puerto Rico. Where she was renamed as the Don Hiram P.

Powered by two, twelve cylinder, EMD 12-567-13K diesel engines. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 2,350 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 70,533 gallons of fuel.
