Built in 1962, by Marine Welding and Repair Works Incorporated of Greenville, Mississippi as the Betty K. for Lake Providence Dredging Company of Lake Providence, Louisiana.

In 1978, the tug was acquired by Meadows Incorporated of Lake Providence, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Deborah Lynn.

In 1989, she was acquired by Big River Shipbuilders Incorporated of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Where the tug was renamed as the Betty Ann.

In 2007, the tug was acquired by the Inland Dredging Company of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Where she retained her name.

Repowered in 2007, she is powered by two Caterpillar 3406 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
