In 2006, the tug was acquired by Martin Marine Incorporated of LaPorte, Texas. Where she retained her name.
In 2019, she was acquired by River Ventures Incorporated of St. Amant, Louisiana. Where the tug was renames as the Independence.
Powered by two, Mitsubishi S12A2-MPTA diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 7:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
