Built in 2011, by the Foss Shipyard of Reiner, Oregon as the Capt. Frank Moody for Delta Western Incorporated of Anchorage, Alaska.

In 2011, the tug was chartered to the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2018, she was to transferred to the Cook Inlet Tug and Barge Company of Anchorage, Alaska. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by three, Tier 2 compliant Caterpillar C18 DITA diesel engines. With Twin Disc MGX 5135SC reduction gears. Turning three 41(in) by 27.5(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a triple screw towboat, rated at 1,437 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 99kW, Caterpillar, keel cooled generator sets. The tug's capacities are 24,900 gallons of fuel, 525 gallons of lube oil, and 3,100 gallons of water.

The towing equipment consists of two, Patterson WWP 65E face winches mounted on the bow. And a single drum, 20 horsepower, Markey TES-20 towing winch mounted on the stern. Outfitted with 1,250(ft) of 1.75(in) towing wire.
