Built in 1981, by the Dravo SteelShip Corporation of Pine Bluff, Arkansas (hull #208-85-81) as the Caddo for Warrior and Gulf Navigation Incorporated of Chickasaw, Alabama.

In 2012, the tug was acquired by Ohio River Salvage Incorporated of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Where she retained her name.

In 2012, she was acquired by Louisiana Marine Operators Incorporated of Broussard, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Maxx B.

In 2020, Louisiana Marine Operators Incorporated was acquired by the Whitaker Marine Group of Daphne, Alabama. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, twelve cylinder, Catepillar 3500 diesel engines. With Caterpillar 7241 reduction gears, at a ratio of 7.07:1. Turning two, 80(in) by 69(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch, four bladed propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,150 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 60kW, Caterpillar 3304B generator sets. The tug's capacities are 18,000 gallons of fuel.

The towing equipment consists of two, 40 ton, Patterson face winches.
