Built in 1974, by the General Towing Corporation of Houma, Louisiana as the Miss Lori for the General Towing Corporation of Norfolk, Virginia.

In 2000, the tug was acquired by Ireland Marine Transportation Incorporated of Chesapeake, Virginia. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2010, she was acquired by Murtech Incorporated of Salisbury, Maryland. Where the tug was renamed as the Privateer.

She is a single screw tug, rated at 300 horsepower.
