Built in 2019, Diversified Marine Shipyard Incorporated of Portland, Oregon (hull #41) as the Artemis for the Brusco Tug and Barge Company of Longview, Washington.
In 2019, prior to completion, the Brusco Tug and Barge Company renamed the tug as the Noydena.
In 2020, the tug was chartered by Crowley Maritime Incorporated of San Francisco, California. Where she was renamed as the Hercules.
Powered by two, Tier IV compliant, Caterpillar 3512E diesel engines. With Caterpillar MTA 627 z-drives, she is a twin screw tractor tug, rated at 6,000 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 118kW, Tier III compliant, Caterpillar generator sets. Driven by two, Caterpillar C7.1 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 22,000 gallons of fuel, 2,500 gallons of urea, 3,500 gallons of water, and 450 gallons of lube oil.
The towing equipment consists of a Markey, DEPC-52, render-recover, winch mounted on the bow.
