YT-807 "MENOMINEE"

Built in 2012, by J.M. Martinac Shipbuilding Incorporated of Tacoma, Washington (hull #255) as the YT-807 (Menominee) for the United States Navy.

She was the sixth Valiant class tractor tug, designed by the Naval Architecture firm Robert Allen Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia for the United States Navy. The design is a variation Robert Allen's existing Z-Tech 6000 commercial tractor tug design.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3512E diesel engines, with Twin Disc MCD 3000-5-HD slipping clutches and two, Schottel 1012 z drives for a rated 3,620 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 154kW, John Deere 6068AFM85 generator sets.

The towing equipment consists of a JonRie InterTech hydraulic winch, mounted on the bow.
