Built in 1979, by the Harbor Marine Corporation of Warren, Rhode Island as the Ray-Me for Borden Light Marine Contracting of Fall River, Massachusetts.
In 2005, the tug was acquired by John Shelton of Tiverton, Rhode Island. Where she was renamed as the Sheltow 1.
In 2007, the tug was acquired by Borden Light Marine Contracting of Fall River, Massachusetts. Where she was renamed as the Ray Me.
Originally powered by two, Detriot Diesel 6-71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc 509 reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.5:1. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 300 horsepower.
In 2023, the tug was repowered with two Cummins QSM 11 diesel engines. With DMT220DL reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.43:1. Turning two, 42(in) by 38(in), four bladed, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 910 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by one, 30kW Lister generator set. The tug's capacities are 1,600 gallons of fuel, and 30 gallons of lube oil
