Built in 1968, by the Alexander Marine Corporation of New Orleans, Louisiana (hull #875) as the Lone Star for the Lone Star Cement Corporation of Indianapolis, Indiana.

In 1985, the tug was acqured by Sause Brothers Ocean Towing Company of Portland, Oregon. Where she was renamed as Robert L.

In 2006, she was acquired by Brusco Tug and Barge Company of Longview, Washington. Where the tug was renamed as Heidi L Brusco.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.
