Built in 1975, by the Southern Shipbuilding Corporation of Slidell, Louisiana (hull #114) as the Alice St. Philip for the St. Phillip Coastal Towing Company of Tampa, Florida.

In 1986, the St. Phillip Coastal Towing Company's offshore tug and barge fleet was acquired by the TECO Transport and Trade Corporation of Tampa, Florida and operated under the TECO subsidy Gulfcoast Transit Company of Tampa, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Linda Taggert.

In 1994, the Gulfcoast Transit Company renamed the tug as the Frances S.

In 2002, the Gulfcoast Transit Company became the TECO Ocean Shipping Company of Tampa, Florida. Where the tug was renamed as the Lisa W.

In 2007, the TECO Transport Corporation was acquired Greenstreet Equity Partners L.P., a Miami-based private equity firm. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2012, she was acquired by Maritima Meridian of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Where the tug was renamed as the Candela S.

Powered by two, EMD 16-645 E5 diesel engines. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 5,071 horsepower.

Her electrical service was provided by 99kW generator sets.
