ROSEADA

Built in 1975, by McDermott Shipyard of Morgan City, Louisiana (hull #211) as the Cape Lookout for the Curtis Bay Towing Company of Baltimore, Maryland. An affiliate of the Moran Towing Corporation of New York, New York.

In 1981, the tug was transferred to the Moran Towing Corporation of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Joan Moran.

In 2021, the tug was acquired by the Dann Ocean Towing Company of Tampa, Florida. Where she was renamed the Roseada.

In 2023, she was acquired by an undisclosed foreign interest.

Powered by two, twelve cylinder, EMD 12-645-E5 diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.958:1. Turning two, 111(in) by 82 (in), five bladed, cast steel, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 4,300 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW, Delco generator sets. Driven by two, Detriot Diesel 6-71 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 96,000 gallons of fuel, 2,143 gallons of lube oil, 403 gallons of hydraulic oil, and 6,000 gallons of potable water.

The towing equipment consists of a single drum, Markey TYS-36, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,200(ft) of 2.25(in) towing wire.
