Built in 1967, by Pascagoula Boat and Iron Works Incorporated Escatawpa, Mississippi (hull #5) as the Escatawpa for Murphy I. Dufrene of the DED Marine Service Incorporated of Pascagoula, Mississippi

In 1997, the tug was acquired by the Frank L. Jordan Corporation of Suffolk, Virginia. Where she was renamed as the Nanette C.

In 2004, she was acquired by the Norfolk Tug Company of Norfolk, Virginia. Where the tug was renamed as the Mason Andrews.

In 2009, the tug was acquired by Intracoastal Marine Incorporated of Chesapeake, Virginia. Where she was renamed as the Maverick.

In 2021, the company was acquired by Dale Martin of Lafayette, Louisiana. Intercoastal Marine Incorporated became part of the Intra Marine Group of Lafayette, Louisiana. And is operated as a division of the Intra Marine Group.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3408 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 7.5:1. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
