The vessel is named for Capt. Walter O’Connor, who worked for Crescent Marine for more than 30 years.

Powered by two, Tier III compliant, Caterpillar C18 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MGX 5170 DC reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.95:1. She is a twin screw push boat, rated rated at 1,200 horsepower.
