
Built in 2021 by Steiner Construction of Bayou La Batre, Alabama (Hull #1008 as the Sally Lapeyre for the Canal Barge Company Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The vessel is named for Sally Polk (Huger) Lapeyre, the oldest daughter of Eugenie and Killian L. Huger (a former CBC executive) and a granddaughter of CBC founder Joseph Merrick Jones Sr.
Powered by two, Tier III compliant, Cummins QSK-60 Diesel engines. With Reintjes WAF 873 reduction gears, at a ratio of 7.455:1. Turning two, five bladed, 100(in) by 90(in), fixed pitch, stainless steel propellers. For a rated 4,400 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 175 kW Cummins QSB7 generator sets.
Her capacities are 75,900 gallons of fuel oil, 800 gallons of lube oil, and 14,000 gallons of water.
