Built in 1977, by the Dravo SteelShip Corporation of Pine Bluff, Arkansas (hull #83-56-77) as the P.N. Ellis for Koch-Ellis Marine Contractors Incorporated of Westwego, Louisiana.
In 1991, the tug was acquired by Crescent City Marine Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.
In 1993, she was acquired by Taira Lynn Marine Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Miss Elma.
In 2005, the tug was acquired by D and S Marine Services Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Danielle C.
In 2021, she was acquired by the Dupre Marine Transportation Company of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Brendan K.
Rebuilt in 1985, and repowered in 1993 with two, Cummins KTA19-M2 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.17:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
The tug's capacities are 12,000 gallons of fuel.
