Built in 1981, by Horton Boats Incorporated of Bayou La Batre, Alabama (hull #224) as the Cheryl A. Eymard for the Louis Eymard Towing Company Incorporated of Marrero, Louisiana.

In 1988, the tug was acquired by American Commercial Barge Line Company of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Where she retained her name.

Inn 1991, she was acquired by Slidell Towing Incorporated Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Kelly Holston.

In 2007, the tug was acquired by American Commercial Lines LLC. of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2009, she was acquired by Dupre Marine Transportation Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Kylie M. Dupre.

In 2018, the tug was acquired by Triple S Marine LLC. of Morgan City, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Nathan Thomas.

Rebuilt in 2009, and repowered in 2012 the tug is powered by two Caterpillar C18 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat rated at 1,200 horsepower.
