THE BEATRICE

Built in 1982, by Halter Marine Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana (hull #1037) as the Rhea I. Bouchard for the Bouchard Transportation Company of Melville, New York.

In 2006, she was outfitted with an INTERcon coupler system. Her towing equipment was retained to allow for traditional towing.

In 2020, the tug was placed out of active service, and was "laid up" at Brooklyn, New York.

In 2021, the unit was acquired by the Centerline Logistics Corporation of Seattle, Washington. Where she retained her name.

In 2022, the tug reentered active service and was renamed as The Beatrice.

Powered by two, EMD 16-645-E7C diesel engines. With Falk 24MRSCA40G3759 reduction gears. Turning two bronze, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 5,100 horsepower.

The tug's electrical service is provided by two, 99kW M420CAB-006 generator sets. Her capacities are 110,160 gallons of fuel.
