Built in 2006, by A and B Industries of Morgan City, Louisiana (hull #314) as the Miss Goldie for Odyssea Vessels Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana.
In 2014, the tug was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Crosby Wave.
In 2014, she was acquired by the Norfolk Tug Company of Norfolk, Virginia. Where the tug was renamed as the Julie Anne.
In 2022, the tug was acquired by the Smith Marine Towing Corporation of Morgan City, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Smith Buccaneer
Powered by two, Caterpillar 3508 B diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG 540 reduction gears, at a ratio of 7:1. Turning two, 76(in) by 62(in), four bladed, fixed pitch, propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated 4,200 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW, John Deere generator sets. The tug's capacities are 34,000 gallons of fuel, 150 gallons of lube oil, and 5,500 gallons of potable water.
The towing gear consists of a single drum, Amcon 270 towing winch. Outfitted with 2,200(ft) of 1.5(in) towing wire.
