Built in 1980, by the United Shipbuilding and Repair Company of Vinton, Louisiana (hull# 23) as the Miss Shacail.

The tug was later sold as the Capt. Jerry Ogeron.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by Higman Barge Lines Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed as the. Capt. Jack Higman

In 2007, the tug was acquired by JAM Marine Services Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Betty L.

The tug was later acquired by O'Rourke Petroleum Lubricants & Fuel of Houston, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 2022, the tug was acquired by Wooten River Service & Supply of Louisville, Kentucky. Where she was renamed as the Carman Louise.

She is a twin screw towboat, rated at. 1,000 horsepower.
