Built in 1958, by Adams Shipyard Incorporated of Larose, Louisiana as the Albert Pike for the Roland Duct Company of New Orleans, Louisiana.

In 1960, the tug was acquired by West Bank Towing Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana.

In 1997, she was acquired by American Gulf Towing Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2007, the tug was acquired by the Skanska Group of New York, New York. Where she retained her name.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
