Built in 1909, by John Bateman of Buffalo, New York as the fish tug Lorain for the Ranney Fish Company of Cleveland, Ohio.

In 1924, the tug was acquired Fabiola H. Jacques of Detroit, Michigan. Where she retained name.

In 1928, she was acquired by Frederick S. Board of Detriot, Michigan. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1929, the tug was acquired by J. Calverts Sons of Detriot, Michigan. Where she retained her name.

In 1934, she was acquired by the Price Brothers Company of Dayton, Ohio. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1956, the Price Brothers Company became the Price Brothers-McClung Incorporated of Dayton, Ohio. Where the tug was renamed as the Harry S. Price.

In 1969, the tug was acquired by the City of Toledo, Ohio Department of Safety Fire Division. The intention was to convert the vessel to a fire fighting boat. However, the project was never completed.

In 1973, she was acquired by Midland Associates Incorporated of South Haven, Michigan. Where she was renamed as the Jenny L.

In 1980, the tug was acquired by Trident Marine Construction of Watervliet, Michigan. Where she retained her name.

In 1999, she was acquired by Lake Michigan Contractors Company of Holland, Michigan. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2003, the tug was acquired by Basic Marine Incorporated of Escanaba, Michigan. Where she retained her name.
