Built in 1963, by St. Charles Steel Works Incorporated Thibodaux, Louisiana (hull #49) as Jaye Anne for the L.V.M. Towing Company of Morgan City, Louisiana

In 1994, the L.V.M. Towing Company later renamed the tug as the Katanni.

In 1997, the tug was acquired by the Ryba Marine Construction Company of Cheboygan, Michigan. Where she was renamed as the Rochelle Kaye.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 700 horsepower.
