Built in 1961, by the Dravo Corporation of Neville Island, Pennsylvania (hull# 4164 as the Eugenie P. Jones for the Canal Barge Company Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana.
In 1989, the tug was acquired by the Iowa Marine Repair Corporation of Keokuk, Iowa. Where she was renamed as the Edward J. Hancock.
In 1993, she was acquired by the J.W. Banta Towing Company of Sunshine, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Dorella Banta.
In 1994, the J.W. Banta Towing Company became Chem Carriers LLC. of Sunshine, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2007, the tug was acquired SCF Transportation Incorporated of Greenville, Mississippi. Where the tug retained her name, but was moved to South America. Her current and or final disposition is unknown.
Powered by two, Nordberg FS-138-HSC diesel engines. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 4,320 horsepower.
