Built in 1981, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #361) as the Karen Ann for the Corpus Christi Marine Services Company of Corpus Christi, Texas.

In 1989, the tug was acquired by the Sabine Transportation Company of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Andromeda. And, the tug was lengthened by 12(ft) at Burton Shipyard Incorporated of Port Arthur, Texas.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by American General Transportation Incorporated of Mobile, Alabama. Where she was renamed as the Presager.

In 2014, she was acquired by John W. Stone Oil Distributors LLC. of Gretna, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, Alco 6-251F diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,430 horsepower.
