Built in 1971, by the Houma Shipbuilding Company of Houma, Louisiana (hull #36) as the Miss Louise for the Spanier Marine Corporation of Harvey, Louisiana.
In 1973, the tug was acquired by John W. Stone Oil Distributor LLC. of Gretna, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Shell Fueler.
Powered by two, GM 12V-71N diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
