OSAGE

Built in 1980, by the Thrift Shipbuilding and Repair Company of Sulphur, Louisiana (hull #25) as the Osage for Conoco Incorporated of Westlake, Louisiana.

In 1993, the tug was acquired by Higman Barge Lines Incorporated of Orange, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Texian.

In 2015, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Orange, Texas.

In 2018, Higman Barge Lines Incorporated was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2024, she was acquired by Magnolia Tugs Incorporated of Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Texas.

Powered by two, Cummins KTA38-M1 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.14:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
