Built in 1977, by St. Louis Ship of St. Louis, Missouri (hull #3925) as the Roy Dupre for Federal Barge Lines Incorporated of St. Louis, Missouri.
In 2005, the tug was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where she was renamed as the Willard Hammond.
Powered by two, Cummins KTA38-M1 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 7:1. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,600 horsepower.
