Built in 1980, by the Dravo Corporation of Neville Island, Pennsylvania (hull #7802) as the Carl H. the Marquette Transportation Company Jefferson, Louisiana.

In 1983, the tug was acquired by the Spartan Transportation Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. Where she was renamed as the Phaeton.

In 1989, she was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where the tug was renamed as the Robin B. Ingram.

Powered by two, GM 16-645E7B diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 6,120 horsepower.
