Built in 1972, by the Nashville Bridge Company of Nashville, Tennessee (hull #2100) as the Eleanor Gordon for the Mid-South Towing Company of Metropolis, Illinois.

In 2002, the Mid-South Towing Company became the TECO Barge Line Incorporated Metropolis, Illinois. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2012, she was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2015, the Ingram Barge Company renamed the tug as the Camille B. Barrett.

Powered by three, GM 16-645E7B diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.074:1. Turning three, fixed pitch propellers mounted in kort nozzles. She is a triple screw towboat, rated at9,180 horsepower.
