Built in 2008, by the Eastern Shipbuilding Group of Panama City, Florida (hull #938) as the Rosemary McAllister for McAllister Towing and Transportation of New York, New York.
The tug was named for Rosemary McAllister. Mother of McAllister CEO Buckley McAllister, and CFO Eric McAllister. And, wife of fourth generation McAllister Towing President, Brian A. McAllister.
In 2010, the tug was chartered to the Bay Houston Towing Company of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Rosemary.
Along with the Suderman and Young Towing Company of Houston, Texas. The Bay Houston Towing Company is part of a combined operating company, the G and H Towing Company of Houston, Texas.
In 2011, the G and H Towing Company became part of a joint venture between the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. Serving the Cameron LNG facility near Lake Charles, Louisiana.
In 2017, the Bay Houston Towing Company renamed the tug as the Audrey.
Powered by two, Tier II compliant, EMD 12-710-G7B diesel engines with Schottel SRP 1515 z-drives. She is a twin screw tractor tug rated at 6,000 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 99 kW Marathon generator sets. The tug's capacities are 30,000 gallons of fuel oil, 500 gallons of lube oil and 6,150 gallons of potable water. With a capacity for 3,000 gallons of AFFF Foam for firefighting purposes.
Her firefighting equipment is driven by two, Tier I complaint, Caterpillar 3412C diesel engines. Driving Nijhuis HGT1 fire pumps capable of producing 11,600 Gallons Per Minute. Feeding two, FFS 1200 LB remote controlled monitors with foam injection capability. As well as a 1,100 GPM Deluge system.
The towing gear consists of a JonRie 250 escort winch, mounted on her bow. Outfitted with 450(ft) of 9(in) Quantam 8 Synthetic Rope.
