Built in 1970, by Eymard and Sons Shipyard Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana as the B.T. Eymard for the Louis Eymard Towing Company Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana.

In 1988, the tug was acquired by Channel Bunker Service Incorporated of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 1990, she was acquired by Intracoastal Services Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Max Clark.

In 1996, the tug was acquired by Hard's Marine Service Limited of Dayton, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Capt. Hard.

Powered by two, Detroit Diesel series 60 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,000 horsepower.
