Built in 1980, by the Louis G. Ortis Boat Company of Krotz Springs, Louisiana (hull #92) as the Shauntie Fremin for Joyce C. Incorporated of Marrero, Louisiana.

In 1989, the tug was acquired by the IVB Leasing Company of Metairie, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Spyglass.

In 1995, the tug was acquired by by Martin G. Imbach Incorporated of Baltimore, Maryland. Where the tug was renamed as the Captain Mac.

In 2005, she was acquired by the Corman Marine Construction Company of Baltimore, Maryland. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, Detroit Diesel 8V92 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 700 horsepower.
