Built in 1979, by the Louis G. Ortis Boat Company of Krotz Springs, Louisiana (hull #59) as the Mike Duffy for M and S Towing Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana.

In 1986, the tug was acquired by the Greater Cincinnati Marine Service Incorporated of Newport, Kentucky. Where she was renamed as the Cliff Webster.

In 2011, Greater Cincinnati Marine Service Incorporated became C and B Marine LLC. of Covington, Kentucky. Where the tug was renamed as the Griffin C.

Powered by two, Cummins N14-M diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. Turning two, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
