Built in 1979, by Phillip Ditta Incorporated of Madison, Louisiana (hulll #21) as the Capt. Joe for the Buras Transportation Company of New Orleans, Louisiana.

In 1982, the tug was acquired by Regina Towing Incorporated of Marrero, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Regina H.

In 2008, she was acquired by Boulaye Marine Towing LLC. of Marrero, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Miss Kaitlyn.

In 2017, the tug was acquired by the Stevens Towing Company of Yonges Island, South Carolina. Where she was renamed as the Island Girl.

In 2025, she was acquired by Riverbulk Transportation of Edenton, North Carolina. Where the tug was renamed as the River Girl.

She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
