LAKE SUPERIOR

Built in 1943, by Tampa Marine of Tampa, Florida (hull #1) as the LT Major Emile H. Block for the United States Army.

In 1950, the tug was transferred to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where she was renamed as the Lake Superior .

In 1996, the tug was retired from service and placed into preservation in Duluth, Minnesota.
