Built in 1982, by Bollinger Machine Shop of Lockport, Louisiana (hull #163) as the Nolty Theriot II for Nolty J. Theriot Offshore of Golden Meadow, Louisiana.
In 1998, the tug was acquired by Louisiana Tugs Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the La Espirit.
In 2010, she was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Crosby Trojan.
Repowered in 1998, she is powered by two, Caterpillar 3606 DITA diesel engines. With a 5:1 reduction. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch, propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 4,800 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, Delco 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 96,349 gallons of fuel oil, and 10,624 gallons of potable water.
The tug's towing gear consists of an INTERcon, DD 225, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,000(ft) of 2.25(in) towing wire.
