JARAMAC 63

Built in 1983, by McDermott Shipyard of Amelia, Louisiana (hull #274) as the Jaramac 63 for the J. Ray McDermott Company of Houston, Texas.

In 1993, the tug was acquired by Tidewater Marine Services Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Mac Tide 63.

In 2004, she was acquired by Hornbeck Offshore Transportation of Covington, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Liberty Service.

In 2013, Hornbeck Offshore Transportation's tug division was acquired by the Genesis Marine Corporation of Houston, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2015, the Genesis Maine Corporation renamed the tug as the Genesis Liberty.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, EMD 16-645 E7B diesel engines. Turning two, four bladed, cast steel, fixed pitch, ducted, 120(in) propellers. She is a twin screw tug rated at 6,140 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 125kW generator sets. Driven by two, Detroit Diesel diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 104,084 gallons of fuel.

The tug's towing equipment consists of a double drum, INTERcon DD-225/82155, side by side, towing winch. Equipped with 3,500(ft) of 2(in) diameter stainless steel towing cable on each drum.
