Built in 2011, by Dakota Creek Industries of Anacortes, Washington (hull #53) as the Legend for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California.
Designed by Naviform Consulting and Research Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia. She was the second of three Legacy/750 class Articulated Tug and Barge (ATB) designed, and constructed for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated.
Powered by two, twelve cylinder, Wartsila C32 W12V32 diesel engines. Fitted in separated propulsion pod housings. With Wartsila SCV85-P51 reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.480. The tug's engines are HFO compatible, which allow for the ability to operate on both light fuels, and Heavy Fuel Oil. Turning two, stainless steel, controllable pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 16,000 horsepower
Fitted with an INTERcon coupler system, with 64(in) diameter pins. The tug is "married" with the 557(ft), by 105(ft) by 57(ft), 330,000(bbl), double hulled barge, the 750-2. That was constructed in 2012, by VT Haler Marine Incorporated of Pascagoula, Mississippi (hull #1994) for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated.
