Built in 1990, by the Bollinger Machine Shop of Lockport, Louisiana (hull #208) as the Doc Candies for the Otto Candies Company of Des Allemands, Louisiana.

In 1995, the tug was chartered to the Mobil Oil Company of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Tecumseh.

In 1999, the Exxon Oil Company merged with the Mobil Oil Corporation to form the ExxonMobil Corporation of Irving, Texas. The SeaRiver Maritime Company continued to operate as a subsidy of the ExxonMobil Corporation. Where the tug was renamed as the S/R Providence.

In 2002, the tug was acquired by Captain Christopher Roehrig of the Roehrig Maritime Company of Staten Island, New York. Where she was renamed as the Emma M. Roehrig.

Named for the Roehrig Maritime Company's founder, and owner Captain Christopher Roehrig's oldest daughter.

In 2007, the Roehrig Maritime Company was acquired by the K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated of East Brunswick, New Jersey. Where she was renamed as the Greenland Sea.

In 2008, she was outfitted with a JAK-400 coupler system at Feeney's Shipyard in Kingston, New York.

In 2011, the K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2020, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houma, Louisiana.

In 2022, the tug was acquired by Dawn Offshore Services Incorporated of Gretna, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as Mediterranean Dawn and was "laid up" at Houma, Louisiana.

In 2022, she was acquired by the Centerline Logistics Corporation of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug was renamed as the Montlake.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, EMD L-16-CE-645-E2 diesel engines. Turning two, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated 4,200 horsepower.

Her electrical service is proved by two 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 106,726 gallons of fuel, 13,208 gallons of water, and 63,401 gallons of ballast.
