Built in 1978, by Halter Marine Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana (hull #582) as the Capt. Jentry for the Jackson Marine Corporation of Houston, Texas.

The Jackson Marine Corporation was owned by the Halliburton Corporation of Houston, Texas. The company owned a total of ninety vessels. Consisting mainly of offshore tugs, and supply vessels. With some chemical transport and well stimulation vessels.

In 1978, the tug was leased to the Darce Towing Company of Houston, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 1984, she was acquired by the Hess Oil Corporation of New York, New York. Where the tug was renamed as the North Star.

In 2001, the Hess Oil Corporation's fleet was acquired by Leevac Marine Incorporated of Jennings, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the North Service.

In 2002, Leevac Marine Incorporated merged with Hornbeck Offshore Services of Covington, Louisiana. The two companies formed Hornbeck Offshore Transportation Services of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2003, the tug was acquired by the Gellatly Criscione Services Corporation of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Where she was renamed as the Mary Gellatly.

In 2013, she was acquired by Winlsow Marine Incorporated of Southport, Maine. Where the tug was renamed as the Alice Winslow.

In 2021, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Portland, Maine.

In 2023, she was acquired by Stasinos Marine LLC. of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Where the tug was renamed as the Patricia Jean.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, Caterpillar D-399 diesel engines. With Reintjes WAV 400 reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. Turning two, fixed pitch, high efficiency, four bladed, 100(in) by 76(in), propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 2,800 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generator sets. Driven by two, GM 6-71 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 43,620 gallons of fuel, 262 gallons of gear oil, 806 gallons of lube oil, 181 gallons of hydraulic oil, 5,280 gallons of potable water, and 1,008 gallons of sewage.

In 2010, the tug was outfitted with and upper wheelhouse. The tug's towing gear consists of a double drum tow winch, equipped with 2,000(ft) of 1.75(in) diameter stainless steel towing wire. The towing winch is driven by a single, GM 6-71 diesel engine.
