Built in 1965, by Barker Barge Lines Incorporated of Lockport, Louisiana (hull #1) as the Frank Candies for the Otto Candies Company of Des Allemands, Louisiana.
The tug was later acquired by Tweed Towing Incorporated of Richmond, California. Where she was renamed as the Pacific Eagle.
In 1991, the Tweed Towing Company was acquired by the Brix Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where the company was merged into the Brix Maritime Company subsidiary, Sea Coast Transportation Incorporated. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2007, the SeaCoast Transportation Company was acquired by the K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated of East Brunswick, New Jersey. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2011, the K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2017, she was phased out of active service. And, was "laid up."
In 2018, the tug was acquired by the Pacific Tug Company of Coos Bay, Oregon. Where she retained her name.
She was a twin screw tug, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
