Built in 1978, by Modern Marine Power Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #21) as the Sea Hawk for the Allied Transportation Company of Norfolk, Virginia

In 2001, the tug was acquired by Sea Coast Transportation Incorporated of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2007, Sea Coast Transportation Incorporated was acquired by K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated of East Brunswick, New Jersey. Where she retained her name.

In 2011, the K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2019, she was acquired by the Brusco Tug and Barge Company of Longview, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, EMD diesel engines. She is a twin screw tug rated at 3,900 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 90,000 gallons of fuel.
