HUSTLER II
Built in 1958, by Jakobson Shipyard Incorporated of Oyster Bay, New York (hull #377) as the Hustler II for the Oil Transfer Corporation of New York, New York.
In 1962, the tug was acquired by the Moran Towing Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Margot Moran.
In 1990, she was acquire by the Metropolitan Petroleum Company of Brooklyn, New York. Where she was renamed as the Jolene Rose.
In 1993, the tug was acquired by the Kosnac Floating Derrick Corporation of Staten Island, New York. Where she was renamed as the Margot.
In 2002, she was acquired by the New York State Marine Highway Transportation Company of Troy, New York. Where the tug retained her name.
Powered by a single, Fairbanks Morse OP diesel engine. With a Falk reduction gear, at a ratio of 2.516:1. She is a single screw tug, rated at 1,440 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by one 30w DC, and 15kW AC, auxiliary generator. A 30kw DC Tailshaft generator, and 15kW AC motor generator. The tug's capacities are 16,700 gallons of fuel, 350 gallons of lube oil, 2,500 gallons of fresh water, and 350 gallons of potable water.
