In 2005, she was re powered with two, eight cylinder, EMD diesel engines. The work was performed at Derektor Shipyard Incorporated in Bridgeport, Connecticut for a rated 3,000 horsepower.
In 2019, the tug was repowered at Feeney's Shipyard in Kingston, New York with two, Tier III compliant, Cummins QSK-50 M1 diesel engines. With Reintjes WAF773 reduction gears, at a ratio of 7.087:1. Turning two, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 3,080 horsepower.
