Built in 1979, by Belaware Marine and Manufacturing (hull #115) as the Anne for the Vane Brothers Company of Baltimore, Maryland.

Named for Anne Hughes DeCamps, sister of Vane president C. Duff Hughes. She was the third vessel to join the Vane Brothers fleet. She entered service on October 13, 1979 at Fells Point in Baltimore, Maryland.

In 2004, she was acquired by Maine Coastal Petroleum of Tenants Harbor, Maine. Where she retained her name.
