Built in 1978, by Main Iron Works of Houma, Louisiana as the Miss Marcia for Black Towing.

The tug was later acquired by Superior Marine, Incorporated. Where she was renamed as the Captain Gary.

She was later acquired by Sterling Equipment of Quincy, Massachusetts. Where she retained her name.

She was eventually acquired by Bisso Marine of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Eva Bisso.

Powered by two GM 16V-92 diesel engines, with Twin Disc 527 reduction gears at a ratio of 5:1, turning two 65(in) by 46(in) "open" stainless steel propellers; for a rated 2,400 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two 30 kW generators, driven by two GM V3-71 engines. The tug's capacities are 16,500 gallons of fuel oil, 200 gallons of lube oil, and 2,500 gallons of potable water.

The towing gear consists of a SMATCO 44 towing winch outfitted with 2,000(ft) of 1.25(in) towing wire.
